Emergency Assistance.
The Outreach Committee provides limited financial assistance to persons in emergency situations.

Food Collection.
Food collected the first Sunday of each month is given to the Laurens Memorial Home for the Aged.  Food collected at Thanksgiving is given to the Memorial Home, the Clinton Christian Outreach Food Bank, and needy families in the community.

United Ministries of Clinton, a cooperative outreach effort by area congregations to assist neighbors in need, is open each Monday, 9 am to noon in the Griffin House (corner of Broad and Ferguson Streets).  Volunteers from area churches meet and compile information from those seeking assistance, confirm that info, and determine within general guidelines what assistance can be offered.

To better help our neighbors, United Ministries needs volunteers to:

q       Greet and answer phones one Monday morning a month OR

q       Train with current volunteers to interview those seeking help.  Again, one Monday morning a month would help OR

q       Provide computer data input as we compile confidential records of needs in the Clinton area.

United Ministries volunteers need to be:

q       Committed Christian disciples

q       Caring and nonjudgmental

q       Dependable and dedicated to a joint ministry of many congregations

q       Committed to Clinton residents in a time of great need and economic crisis

q       Willing to pray with anyone seeking help

Please prayerfully consider this call to serve Jesus Christ by serving others!  If you can help, call Donna Peay (833-6938), Stewart Peet (697-4346), or Dennis Tedder (833-1064).
